Angel Hair offers the most uniform light-diffusion available for stainless steel. It is available as a flat sheet good or for specification within a Zahner project.
Angel Hair provides an exceptionally smooth and refined finish.
Its diffuse surfaces offer an alternative to the highly reflective nature of standard stainless steel finishes. The velvety surface also minimizes the risk of concentrated heat and blinding light.
Zahner’s patented Angel Hair process utilizes precision-controlled machinery to etch the metal with a fine grain. This scatters the light while retaining a lustrous appearance.
Early competitors of Angel Hair presented striping and other uneven finish problems.
Zahner’s Angel Hair stainless steel finish is a dual surface: one level of texture below another. The tiny circular scratches applied to the metal alloy will disrupt symmetry to produce a consistent luster, eliminating striping and scalloping effects.
When properly installed and maintained, Angel Hair Stainless Steel will retain the same appearance after decades of weathering.
