For much of our 125-year history, A. Zahner Company has worked to understand the nature of material surfaces that find use in art and architecture. Our experience covers all the common alloys of metal in use today as well as some less known, specialized metals.

We have undertaken extensive research into patination and surface finishes of metals to expand the growing palette of options available to the designer and user.

We consider today’s attributes of a material, the long-term performance, and the impact to the environment.
