Moda Ecology™

Moda Ecology brings the forms and patterns of the natural world to Zahner’s modular Moda wall panel platform. Created in collaboration with Gensler, the collection gives architects and designers a practical way to incorporate biophilic expression, dimensionality, and authentic metal into interior environments.

Each Ecology pattern begins with a nature-inspired element that is repeated, varied, and formed outward from the panel face. These sculptural elements interact with light throughout the day, producing shifting highlights and shadows that give the wall depth, movement, and visual energy.

The collection includes three distinct designs. Folia draws upon the layered geometry of leaves. Plashet evokes the irregular movement and dispersion of splashing water, while Rivulet reflects the flowing paths created by small streams.

The Ecology Collection brings nature’s essence to architectural metal panels, offering striking, sustainable designs that are resilient, affordable, and crafted to enhance spaces and contribute to a better world through thoughtful design.

Moda Ecology is available in four panel sizes and a selection of Zahner materials and finishes. Options range from refined Angel Hair® stainless steel to the warm, evolving character of Solanum™ weathering steel, the dynamic reflectivity of Spectura™, and the depth of Oscura™ blackened steel. The interplay between pattern, material, finish, and light gives designers considerable freedom to shape the character of an installation.

Made entirely from metal, Moda Ecology offers a durable and sustainable alternative to decorative wall coverings made from less resilient materials. It is well suited for reception areas, hospitality settings, workplace interiors, cultural institutions, retail spaces, and other environments where texture and connection to nature can enrich the occupant experience.

Folia™

Folia draws inspiration from the delicate forms of leaves, with intricate patterns that mimic the look of foliage on trees or scattered across a forest floor. This nature-inspired design captures the essence of lush, layered foliage in rich patinas and durable metals.

Plashet™

Plashet captures the essence of raindrops with panels that evoke natural rainfall’s fluid, organic shapes. This water-inspired aesthetic links the collection’s form with the serene beauty of a rain-soaked landscape.

Rivulet™

Rivulet mirrors the graceful flow of small streams, with patterns that emulate the winding paths of water across a surface. It evokes imagery of gentle waterways and fluid, organic movement.
