A massive new building featuring Zahner metalwork is opening this weekend to great fanfare — the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection. On March 29, the Kansas City Business Journal mentions the upcoming opening:
Designed by Minneapolis-based HGA Architects and Engineers and Gould Evans of Kansas City, the modern sanctuary has a 3,500-person capacity and a unique exterior that is recognizable from miles away.
The church had its first soft opening during the weekend and will celebrate the completion of its campus with a grand opening Saturday and Sunday. The church features three types of services beginning at 5 p.m. on Saturday and continuing at 7:30 a.m., 9:15 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday.
