Sustainability
At Zahner, we appreciate that the use of architectural metals in the built environment plays a critical role in the health and performance of social and environmental ecosystems.
Together with our design and construction partners, we believe it’s our responsibility to support and advocate for architectural solutions that minimize the impact on natural resources and protect and enhance the wellbeing of all stakeholders, including individuals, communities, and the world at large.
We follow the best practices of sustainable design and construction by working with our clients and partners to develop performance goals based on local, national and international industry standards. With our multidisciplinary teams of architects, engineers and fabricators, we consult with our partners on infrastructure and envelope systems that result in sustainable, resilient, and healthy structures and spaces.
This mission extends beyond our project work and product manufacturing to our award-winning EPA compliant facilities in Kansas City and Grand Prairie, and their surrounding communities, as we work to minimize our energy, water, and waste impact by investing in recycling and wastewater treatment programs and systems. Our company-wide efforts are further supported by developing the environmental expertise of our staff through education, knowledge exchange, and awareness programs. Our ultimate goal is to serve – through design, manufacturing, fabrication, and installation – as responsible stewards of our resources and planet.
