Interior Architecture

Interior Architecture plays a growing role in Zahner’s commitment to the design environment. Zahner provides custom wall systems, interior wall panels, custom metal ceilings, interior screens and other design elements.

The same rich material surfaces offered for exteriors can be developed as part of interior systems with Zahner. The company also provides a number of fixtures and interior design elements, including custom stairways, columns, seating and other furnishings, as well as a variety of custom etched surfaces.

The Bellslip Greenpoint Landing

Located on the historic Greenpoint Landing, The Bellslip, situated along the East River, showcases Zahner's ability to produce a unique interior finish for this 30-story luxury apartment tower overlooking Brooklyn and Manhattan. The design is on the ground floor and acts as both a lobby and a public gathering space. Leong Leong brought in Zahner to help develop a unique profile for an aluminum extrusion that would follow the curvature of the interior walls of this luxury apartment Tower in Brooklyn, NY. Zahner provided expertise and guidance to develop the extrusion profile, connection details, and finish. Zahner provided lengths of the extrusion to the onsite installer, which cut the extrusions on site for existing field conditions. Zahner also fabricated and delivered trim with a matching finish for the doors and end conditions.

Taubman Museum

The City of Roanoke, Virginia is situated in a famously mountainous landscape. Situated at the the southern end of Shenandoah Valley, with Blue Ridge Mountains and the Appalachians, its location is not where one would think to find a contemporary museum. However, this was the objective, to develop a museum as part of a comprehensive plan to invigorate the city. Designed by Randall Stout Architects, the building includes a range of metal components manufactured and installed by Zahner engineers and artisans. Zahner was responsible for engineering, fabrication, and installation of the exterior secondary structure and facade. Zahner also provided interior metal surfaces for the project.
