Two ImageWall® murals clad the east and north sides of 1256 Penn Ave, featuring individual portrait panels of renowned local civil rights activists that helped shape the culture of Minneapolis. The east mural depicts realistic portraits of Amanda Lyles, Archie Givens, Lena Olive Smith, Helen Claytor, Frederick Jones, Richard Green, Cap Wignington, Roy Wilkins, Cecil Newman, and W. Gertrude Brown.
