Zahner to Exhibit at AIA Chicago June 26-28th with Jarden Zinc
Zahner will exhibit with Jarden Zinc, the only architectural zinc manufactured in the United States of America.
Zahner is stepping into the larger architectural community of America by showing its latest systems, technologies, and surfaces at the AIA Convention in Chicago, June 26-28th, 2014 at Booth 1005, Northeast quadrant of the McCormick Place.
Working with Jarden Zinc, Zahner is broadening the material’s appeal by offering a range of durable patina options as a natural and weather-resistant way of creating an iconic look for a building’s facade.
The exhibition will primarily showcase how to Build Better Buildings using architectural zinc. Zinc has been long-heralded for its position as being one of the most enduring facade-materials available to architects. What the exhibiton will show is how these materials are competitive as a cost-effective option with bold aesthetics.
In addition to aesthetically pleasing product offerings will be Zahner’s new ShopFloor web-based software. ShopFloor™ is an intuitive user interface that allows designers to design complex facades and other building components quickly and easily. Designers can also see the price change as they manipulate the 3D model. This allows users to directly control and improve the value engineering of their design. The final output is pre-engineered and fabricated on Zahner’s shop floor. The simplified design interface means that costs are greatly reduced when compared to traditional design, engineering and fabrication.
