CEO L. William Zahner will be featured as a keynote speaker during Indinox 2015 at the Mahatma Mandir conference center in Gandhinagar, nearby Ahmedabad in Gujarat, India. Mr. Zahner will provide the keynote speech on the second day of the conference, January 26th, and will speak to how stainless steel can be used as a creative and expressive medium.
Mr. Zahner made a tough call shortly after taking charge of the family business in the late twentieth century, shifting the focus of the A. Zahner Company from siding and deck-work to metal fabrication. He shaped an architectural powerhouse whose work complements skyscrapers, museums, and artwork around the world.
This year’s conference is particularly important, as India’s 1.3 billion consumers are increasingly becoming ‘middle class’ which boosts stainless steel demand in all industry segments including, from transportation, architecture and design, to interior furnishings and more.
Having had the honor to welcome the current Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, to speak at previous conferences, the INDINOX Stainless Steel Conference 2015 can again expect a host of influential speakers and attendees from both local and international companies to cover all commercial issues relating to the Indian and global stainless steel industry.
Key Topics to be discussed during the conference
- How will Narenda Modi’s ‘Skill, Scale and Speed’ and ‘Red Carpet Not Red Tape’ initiatives impact India’s stainless steel market?
- Is India attractive for overseas investments into the stainless steel sector (e.g. rolling mills, service centers) and what are the obstacles?
- Does India have the potential to compete and replace China by becoming the center for stainless growth? Or how is India different from China?
- What are the various investment projects of Indian stainless steel producers and how is the ramp-up of Jindal’s new plant in Orissa coming along?
The conference provides a window for international companies to meet local suppliers and producers to explore business opportunities in India, the 2nd largest stainless steel market in the world.
