Meet L. William Zahner in Chicago, IL

L. William Zahner speaks at the 27th Stainless & its Alloys conference in Chicago, Illinois on September 17th & 18th, 2013. The conference features industry giants from Allegheny Ludlum, Ford Motor, and GE Electric, as well as the leading steel & nickel manufacturers.

The conference takes place at the Swissotel, two blocks north of the iconic Pritzker Pavilion designed by Frank Gehry (pictured above), which features Zahner metalwork, design, and engineered structure.

Zahner’s stainless steel craftwork can be seen throughout Chicago, from the interior metalwork on Sears Tower, to the Pritzker Pavilion, to the new Burberry Flagship Store, striped in an obsidian mirror-finish stainless steel. Zahner has worked on dozens of projects in the Chicago area, many of which are surfaced with stainless steel alloys.

The conference will discuss critical issues such as housing and its impact on stainless steel, new design principles, and nanotechnologies. The conference takes place Tuesday September 17th-18th, and can be registered at the Metal Bulletin website.
