Remembering 9/11 — Dedicating the Memorial at Overland Park

Earlier this week the nation recognized the somber events of September 11, 2001. Zahner was involved in the building envelop of the September 11th Memorial at Ground Zero in New York City as well as the Memorial in Overland Park, KS. The local Memorial, located at the Overland Park Fire Training Center, was designed by Mike Christianer of SFS Architecture in Kansas City. Zahner provided the etched bronze material and fabrication.

Two new additions to the Memorial were dedicated on Wednesday morning, honoring the 11th Anniversary of this tragic event. The new lighted Victim’s Panel – etched with all the victims’ names along with Memorial Benches were paid for by private donations.
